RUSSIA – Stricter Rules on Payment of State Fee for Letter of Invitation in Moscow
Effective immediately, the state fee collected for issuance of letters of invitation (LOI) at the migration office at 42 Pokrovka Street in Moscow must be paid exclusively from the bank account of the inviting company.
Previously, the fee could be paid by individuals and confirmed by payment receipt.
An original payment order, certified with a bank seal as well as the company seal, must be attached to the application. It is necessary to state the full name of the foreign national in the “purpose of payment” section.
It will now be possible to submit the payment receipt either with the letter of invitation application or upon collection of the approved letter of invitation, unless the application is for a so-called electronic invitation letter, in which case the payment receipt must be submitted with the application.
State fees for visa issuance and renewal can be paid by individuals, as before.
Employers who may be affected are encouraged to contact their Newland Chase immigration specialist for case-specific advice.
